KUR AND LAKUR

Q: Why no base coat for Perfecting Nail Veils, Sheer Strength Nail Blushes, Shimmering Nail Highlighters, and Illuminating Nail Concealers? A: These products are formulated with extra nail-loving ingredients, so applying them on bare nails is the best way to ensure you will receive the full benefit of the ingredients.
Q: I want the nail care benefits of Perfecting Nail Veils/Illuminating Nail Concealer, but I want an opaque color. Can I use either of them as a base coat? A: No. PNV/INC are not formulated to work as a base coat, and therefore won't allow for color to adhere for optimal wear time. Luckily, our base coats, lakurs and top coats are all infused with treatment as well, so you'll still experience a nourishing service.
Q: What is the difference between the one-step manicure options? A: Perfecting Nail Veils:

Q: What makes Londontown different? A: As a brand, Londontown focuses on creating clean, effective nail treatment and color formulas that target various nail concerns. Each product is infused with nourishing, nail loving ingredients for healthier nails with every swipe. Our products are also vegan, cruelty free, gluten free, breathable, paraben free and 21+ free.
Q: Rose Gold Hand Peel is not peeling off, can we just wipe it off? A: Part of the exfoliation benefit of any peeling mask comes from the ability to peel it off. The only reason you would not be able to peel this mask off is if it is not yet dry. Please allow at LEAST 15 minutes for this mask to dry and use even layers that are not too thick or too thin. We recommend applying this early on in the service to allow for the maximum amount of dry time.
Q: After I use Nail Probiotic Instant Boost, the polish comes right off, why is this happening? A: The Nail Probiotic Instant Boost Mask has to be wiped from the nail. You can use this prior to polish or gel application, but it’s important to wipe it from the nail after about 5 minutes. You can use a cotton round and some water to do this or direct your client to a nearby sink.
Q: Does Gel Genius Top Coat or Base Coat need to be cured? A: No, the Gel Genius System (the only products in black bottles) do not need to be cured and will dry like a standard top or base coat. We call this Gel Genius because it has a similar wear time to gels, but does not need to cure or soak off.

GELS

Q: Our customers are worried about the gel services due to UV exposure recently called out in the news. How can we reply? A: The concern stems from UV exposure, not LED light exposure. If you’re using an LED lamp, no need to worry! If you are using a UV light, we recommend switching to LED. If that's not possible, I would recommend your customer apply a sunscreen to their hands before the service to minimize exposure.
Q: What makes Londontown UV/LED Gels different? A: Our gel formulas are free of solvents, which means there is nothing inside the formula breaking down the formula or pigment. This allows for our formula's consistency to maintain it's integrity and makes it odorless. This also means our formula is cleaner and less damaging to the nail.
Q: How can I get the longest wear out of Londontown Gels? A: There are two really key aspects to making any gel mani or pedi last longer:
  1. Make sure the nail surface is totally clean and free of any leftover polish, debris or oils. To ensure your nails are completely prepped for gel application, we recommend using our Pre-Prep Nail Dehydrator which is formulated specifically to completely cleanse the nail and temporarily remove the natural oils our nails are constantly producing.
  2. Create a surface ideal for polish to grip onto the nail. To do this, we recommend gently buffing the nail so that it has a gritty feel, not a totally smooth one and applying a coat of our non-acid bonding primer which strengthens the bonds between our gel base coat and the nail surface.
Q: Do all of your gels have a matching lakur? A: Not all of our gel colors currently have a lakur match, but about 50 of them do with more to come by the end of this year!

Q: How long will 1 pro sized bottle last? A: This will vary for every salon or spa, but each pro sized 16oz kur bottle will fill up one regular sized .4oz kur bottle about 40 times
Q: Do I need a funnel to refill the .4oz bottles? A: No, the nozzle on the 16oz bottles should perfectly fit into the .4oz bottles.
Q: Do I need to clean the .4oz bottles every time I refill? A: We highly recommend completely cleaning the .4oz bottles out every time in order to maintain the texture of the formula.
Q: How much will I save by purchasing a pro sized bottle? A: You'll be saving about $160 when purchasing any of the pro sized top coats, base coats or oils.
