HOW TO USE

Apply 1-2 thin layers of Universal Base Coat. Cure 30 seconds under UV or 60 seconds under LED.
Apply 2 coats of Gel Color, curing each coat 30 seconds (UV) or 60 seconds (LED).
Apply 1 coat of Color Lock Top Coat. Cure 60 seconds (UV) or 120 seconds (LED).

To remove:

File through the top coat, color, and base layers at the center of each nail (careful not to hit the natural nail).
Saturate a cotton pad with Prep & Remove Acetone Lacquer Remover, wrap the fingertip in foil, and wait 10-15 minutes.
Remove the foil and cotton, use a cuticle stick to gently remove the softened gel, buff the nail, and finish with Nourishing Cuticle Oil.

Can I use GelShift over any regular nail polish?

Yes. GelShift is designed to work over fully dry traditional nail polish, including any LONDONTOWN lakur shade. Once your polish has completely dried, GelShift seals it beneath a cured gel top coat, creating a glossy, chip-resistant finish with extended wear. Proper dry time is important to achieve the best results.

It is not intended to be applied directly over wet polish.

How is GelShift different from Gel Genius Top Coat?

Both products extend the life of your manicure, but they use different technologies and deliver different results. GelShift is a true gel top coat that must be cured under a UV/LED lamp to create a hardened gel finish. Gel Genius Top Coat delivers a gel-like look without a lamp and air dries like a traditional top coat.

Choose GelShift if you want the longest-lasting, salon-inspired finish. Choose Gel Genius if you prefer the convenience of a traditional air-dry manicure.

Why does GelShift need a UV/LED lamp?

GelShift contains gel technology that must be cured under a UV/LED lamp to fully harden. Unlike traditional top coats that dry as solvents evaporate, gel formulas cure through light exposure, creating a durable, glossy protective layer over your manicure. Without curing, the formula will remain tacky and won't deliver the performance it's designed for.
Using the recommended lamp helps ensure:
- Proper curing
- Maximum shine
- Improved durability
- Better chip resistance

How do I remove GelShift?

GelShift is removed like a gel manicure—not like traditional nail polish. Because the cured top coat forms a durable gel layer, it should first be gently filed to break the seal before soaking with acetone. This allows the product to release cleanly without picking or peeling.
For best results:
- Gently buff the surface of the cured top coat.
- Soak with acetone using cotton and foil or nail clips.
- Wait 10–15 minutes.
- Gently remove any softened product with a manicure stick.
Avoid peeling the product off, as this can damage the surface of your natural nails.

This is a game changer for me
💅🏼 I tried GelShift for the first time using Londontown Vendetta. I waited 15 minutes after I polished my nails. The gel went on easily, didn't pull any of the color as I was applying, and cured perfectly in 60 seconds in my nail lamp. It has a super glossy shine and leaves a nice plump finish to the polish. It's very smooth and I really love the overall durability. It lasts much longer than traditional lacquer topcoat.
It still looked perfect when I removed it and removal was simple. I used a nail file to break through the gel too and then wrapped my nails in full strength acetone foil nail wraps for 10 minutes. The polish was basically gone and all I had to do was wipe each nail with some acetone to remove it completely off my nail and surrounding skin.
I included pictures to show how it looked from beginning to end. I wore it for 12 days. I also included a picture of the second manicure I did (blue polish) to test the GelShift on another brand of lacquer. It's definitely a game changer for me. 💅🏼

Nice application
I let polish dry for 20 minutes, applied Gel Shift and cured each hand twice, followed by LONDONTOWN cuticle oil. I love the look! Will update or write another review based on wear and removal. It looks gorgeous with Strawberry Milk.
