Looking for a nail color that's soft, sweet, and understated? Look no further than baby blue nails. This pretty hue is the perfect next nail idea for those who want a touch of color without committing to something bold…at least not yet.

The Londontown Edit: Baby Blue Lakurs

Even though baby blue is the theme of this edit, you can still find variety in the collection. Subtle shifts in undertone make all the difference: with everything from icy-cool pastels to warmer light blues with tints of teal - perfect for summer, there’s a baby blue for every look (and mood). No matter the shades you end up choosing, every Londontown nail polish is proudly 21+ free, vegan, and cruelty-free. But it’s not just what’s out (harsh chemicals such as formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP) that count, it’s what we add in that makes our lakurs so revolutionary. Every formula is supercharged with nourishing ingredients like Vitamin E and fortifying botanical extracts to help strengthen and protect your nails. Plus, our high-performance technology ensures a long-wearing and chip-resistant finish that delivers all the benefits of a gel manicure without the damage it brings.

The Best Baby Blue Nail Polishes

Get your next nail idea with baby blues from our collection:

  • Dainty Daze” is just dreamy: it’s a pastel periwinkle crème that’s equal parts lavender and baby blue
  • Chuffed to Bits” is a bright and powdery, cool-toned light blue
  • In the Clouds” just might be the perfect baby blue
  • Amalfi Love” has a bit more purple in its base than “Chuffed to Bits”—but is turned up in saturation (when compared to “Dainty Daze”)
  • Reverse the Charges” is a bright robin’s egg blue
  • Royal Baby Blue” is a fresh and minty baby blue
  • Whipped Blueberry” wears beautifully over bare nails or any crème polish (especially baby blues): it’s packed with ultrafine pale blue and silver reflects
  • Cheshire Plains” is packed with tiny baby blue glitter to give an icy effect to any mani or pedi

Which Colors Go Best with Baby Blue?

Baby blue is a soft and delicate color that pairs well with a range of other colors. For a more “neutral” look, pair your baby blue nails with shades of white, cream, and gray. For a bolder look, pair your baby blue nails with bright shades of pink or yellow.

Here are some baby blue color combos we love here at Londontown:

  • Dainty Daze” with “Pampas Beige” is sweet and sophisticated—and perfect for weddings, baby showers, or any time you want to add a pop of color to your usual nude mani-pedi pairing
  • Chuffed to Bits” and “Fruit Tella” deliver that summery contrast whenever you’re craving color (or need a solid mani-pedi pairing for vacation)
  • In the Clouds” with “Buttercup” makes for the prettiest spring look: both are soft pastels that complement one another perfectly
  • Amalfi Love” and “Tidal” are a match made in (beachy) heaven if you’re after a monochromatic look; subtle differences in depth and finish make this light blue duo just right
  • Reverse the Charges” with “Flashback,” a near-neon orange, are a must-try if you love to make a statement
  • Royal Baby Blue” and “Pressed Petals” both have just enough warmth where the tones are perfectly matched—even though they’re essentially complementary on the color wheel
  • Whipped Blueberry” and “Reverse the Charges” are meant to be mixed, matched, and layered
  • Cheshire Plains” with any milky white polish—like our cult-favorite Illuminating Nail Concealer—lets the baby blue glitter pop

#LondonTips: How to Apply Nail Polish Like a Pro

To achieve perfect baby blue manicure or pedicure without going to the nail salon, follow these simple steps:

  1. Prep. Begin by removing any old polish, filing your nails, and pushing back your cuticles.
  2. Start with base coat. Apply a thin layer of any Londontown base coat to better help the nail polish adhere to your nail and prevent staining (especially if you use a brighter shade).
  3. Apply your polish. Apply 1-2 coats of your favorite peach lakur. Be sure to wait for each coat to dry completely before applying the next one.
  4. Finish with top coat. Add a thin layer of your favorite top coat. This will add shine (unless you prefer a matte finish for matte baby blue nails) and protect your manicure from chipping or fading.

A few more pro tips and tricks:

  • Let the baby blue polish dry completely before applying additional layers or touching anything. This will help prevent nicks or smudging—but if you’re in a rush, use Accelerating Drying Oil to speed up the dry time and keep Instant Smudge Fix on hand just in case you get a dent.
  • Apply a fresh layer of top coat every few days to maintain that protective, outermost barrier for your polish. Don’t forget to “cap” each nail too: swiping your lakur and top coat along the edge of your nail will further protect the tip from chipping or peeling.
  • Keep your cuticles hydrated! Apply Nourishing Cuticle Oil, Cuticle Gel Pen, or Restorative Nail Cream. Moisturization is key to a manicure or pedicure that lasts (which is why we’ve formulated our lakur nail polishes with Florium Complex: our proprietary blend of botanical extracts and oils that help keep nails feeling nourished and strong).
  • Wear gloves whenever you’re cleaning or washing the dishes. Wherever possible, avoid direct contact with cleaning products with harsh chemicals that can strip your skin and nails.
