Insert 2 AA batteries and place as directed by symbols within battery compartment, then replace battery cover. Place freshly-painted fingers or toes beneath fan and rest them on the bottom panel to activate fan. To turn off, remove your hand/foot from the rest stand.

    Excellent little nail fan

    This dryer is easy to use and I had to have a second, so that I could dry both hands at the same time. But, it would be great if it was chargeable rather than battery operated; a few more $ would make it perfect.
