An innovative, first-of-its-kind top coat that transforms any polish you love into a gel mani. One coat immediately plumps up the look of polish for a high-shine effect, and once cured under a UV/LED lamp, hardens into a super-strong barrier that keeps color perfectly intact. Mani-pedi longevity is maximized, and you get the look and enhanced wear-time of a gel from the comfort of your home—and none of the fuss or damage.

Start with any Londontown base coat followed by your lakur of choice, then let the polish completely dry. You can apply Gelshift Top Coat after 2 hours of dry time and optimally after 12–24 hours. Once ready, apply a thin, even coat of Gelshift Top Coat. Cure your nails under Foldable UV/LED Gel Lamp for 60 seconds. For some, nails may cure better when 2 to 3 fingers are cured at a time. 

To remove: Use a nail file to gently buff away the top coat. Soak a cotton ball or round with Londontown Prep & Remove Acetone Lacquer Remover, place it directly on the nail, and cover with aluminum foil. Repeat for every finger. Remove the foil and cotton round after 10 to 15 minutes. Gently push off any remaining polish on your nails.

    This is a game changer for me

    💅🏼 I tried GelShift for the first time using Londontown Vendetta. I waited 15 minutes after I polished my nails. The gel went on easily, didn't pull any of the color as I was applying, and cured perfectly in 60 seconds in my nail lamp. It has a super glossy shine and leaves a nice plump finish to the polish. It's very smooth and I really love the overall durability. It lasts much longer than traditional lacquer topcoat.

    It still looked perfect when I removed it and removal was simple. I used a nail file to break through the gel too and then wrapped my nails in full strength acetone foil nail wraps for 10 minutes. The polish was basically gone and all I had to do was wipe each nail with some acetone to remove it completely off my nail and surrounding skin.

    I included pictures to show how it looked from beginning to end. I wore it for 12 days. I also included a picture of the second manicure I did (blue polish) to test the GelShift on another brand of lacquer. It's definitely a game changer for me. 💅🏼

    Nice application

    I let polish dry for 20 minutes, applied Gel Shift and cured each hand twice, followed by LONDONTOWN cuticle oil. I love the look! Will update or write another review based on wear and removal. It looks gorgeous with Strawberry Milk.

    Staying power, not easy to remove

    I've not had success with chip-free wearing times as advertised or by reviewer marks. Even with Non-Acid Binder, I might get 7 days, but not without touching up the ends and applying top coat every other day. This boasts no chips for 7 days. First pic was a chip within 24 hrs. (I did some gardening that day, but wore gloves) 2nd pic was thumb after 4 days (other thumb was similar ). The last pic is day 8 and though the thumbs were chipped the other nails looked great. Removal had to be in stages. I tried doing all 10 nails at once, but the 1st hand's foil fell off while trying to put on the second hand. Allow 30 min for this.

Does GelShift require a UV/LED lamp to cure?
Yes! GelShift must be cured under a UV or LED lamp to cure. GelShift is a special gel formula that is optimized for use over regular nail polish formulas that are fully dry.
The instructions say to apply GelShift over dry polish. How long do I have to wait to apply?
GelShift must be applied to polish that is completely dry, not just dry to the touch. Please wait at least 2 hours before applying GelShift over polish and optimally 12-24 hours before applying.
Can I remove GelShift with regular nail polish remover?
No. GelShift requires soaking to remove. Lightly file the top layer, then soak with an acetone remover and foil wraps for 10–15 minutes. Gently push off the softened product—removal is easier than traditional gels.
Why does my manicure feel tacky or dull after curing?
GelShift should feel smooth and tack-free when cured. If it feels uneven or not fully set, it may be due to incomplete curing. Sometimes UV light doesn’t reach the entire nail surface, especially if you cure all five fingers at once. Try curing a few fingers at a time to ensure even coverage.
Is GelShift TPO and/or HEMA Free?
Yes, GelShift is both TPO and HEMA Free.
What kind of polish can I use under GelShift?
We are partial to Londontown lakurs of course, but GelShift is compatible with any nail polish formula.
